“A true oasis in a beautiful part of the Karoo! We had a wonderful time at Mirtehof over December! The garden is an absolute paradise with lovely spots where you can sit and read or contemplate. I loved to take strolls, admiring the assortment of vegetables, fruit trees and exquisite flowers. We also often enjoyed the splash pool on hot afternoons. The amazing pool house is like an art gallery, filled with interesting and quirky pieces of art – and an aircon – a welcome relief from the Karoo heat! Hester and the owner put a lot of effort into finding me non-diary milk and cheeses. Breakfasts were a treat every morning with the gaggle of geese parading on the lawn. Hester and her team were always very friendly and helpful and put a lot of effort in to make our stay enjoyable. I recommend Mirtehof wholeheartedly to anyone visiting Prince Albert.”

“Wow! Just wow!!! The pics looked breathtaking when making a booking which persuaded us to book at Mirtehof. When we arrived however, our expectations were far surpassed. The place is just breathtaking – the most luxurious linen, a lovely bath and a garden which is truly spectacular. The breakfast is hearty and the service extremely personalized. The only downside we experienced was that we had to leave this beautiful haven. Do yourself a favour, treat yourself and book this space!”
FABULOUS PLACE IN THE KAROO
“The gardens are just wonderful with a beautiful outlook across the Karoo. Service was exceptional with Hester really going above and beyond to help us when our car broke down on the Swartberg pass. Breakfast on the verandah is a leisurely and tasty affair. Wifi is better than anywhere else I have stayed in Prins Albert. The place is a gem!”
